1966 Chris Craft Custom Ski: This was my personal boat and I customized it for my own use. It came from the factory with a 302 Corvette engine and was faster than the production model.
1953 16' Crooks: This boat has been in the family since new. It has served three generations and still going strong. Ernie Crook started his boat building business in Alameda California right after WWll. In the early 1950's he moved the business to near by Castro Valley. Crooks went out of business in 1972. My aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Peek who own the boat, gave up water skiing when they hit their mid eighties.
1959 17' Chris Craft Custom Ski: When Paul and Joy Scribner brought the boat to the shop it was pretty beat. What was hoped to be a cosmetic restoration turned into a full keel up restoration. Today after 15 years and one re-varnish she still looks like the day she left the shop.
1955 16' Mercury Sabre: Introduced in 1954 the Sabre was Mercury of Burbank California fastest boat with speeds of 40+ mph. The boat was very popular with families at the time who wanted an affordable boat for water skiing. This boat was purchased at the 1955 Oakland California Boat Show; it was the demonstrator. She was acquired from the original owner after sitting in the weather for 30 years. She won first in the utility class at the Tahoe Concours D'Elegance 2011 with a 97.25 out of 100 points
1955 21' Chris Craft Capri: This boat was delivered to the Lake Mead Marina Las Vegas, Nevada in Dec. of 1954. She is the fifth Capri built. She was used for a casino boat at Lake Mead and Lake Tahoe. When purchased the boat was a victim of a very poor restoration attempt. After a two year restoration she took 2nd in her class at the Tahoe Boat Show in 2010.
1940 Chris Craft 17ft. Deluxe Runabout : This boat was delivered to the Chris Craft Dealer Lake Delavan Illinois in 1940. It found it's way to Santa Barabra California and sat for 20 years before it was sold to the present owners, Dr. and Mrs. Tom Spillner of Vacaville Ca. After a lenghty restoration by Pleasurebent Boats, she took 1st place at the Tahoe Boat Show August 2018.
